Finding. Ten hospitalised children viewed an original painting and then a version altered with personalised content. Well-being and involvement scores were high and slightly higher afterwards, and joy ratings for the personalised version were high.

Limitation. A pilot with ten children and no control group. Personalising the painting makes this more than ambient exposure.
